Five areas of support.
One personal approach.
Possibly for the first time in years, you’ll have someone who really listens.
You may have spent a long time putting others first, keeping things to yourself or feeling that nobody quite understands what’s going on underneath.
I’ve spent more than three decades talking with and listening to people from all walks of life. And although everybody’s story is different, many of the feelings underneath those stories are surprisingly familiar.

Why work with me?
I talk to people the way I’d want someone to talk to me.
A conversation, not a clinical experience. I talk naturally, honestly and without judgement.
Your session starts before you arrive. We’ve spoken and I’ve read your intake form, so I already understand what matters to you.
Personal to you, not an off-the-shelf script. Your experiences, your words and what you want to change shape our work together.
Honest about what I can offer. I won’t promise a particular result or tell you that one session solves everything.
A clear, unhurried process

“It has been a game changer.”
I’d had RTT before, back in 2020 and it really helped my mental health. I had my session with Stephen about four weeks ago. For the first time in a long time I’m being kind to myself. I thoroughly recommend and thank him for giving me my confidence and self belief back.

You may still be wondering…
These are some of the questions people commonly ask before deciding whether to contact me.
Do I need to understand RTT or hypnotherapy?
No. Most people contact me because they know something needs to change, not because they have chosen a particular type of therapy. We begin with what has been happening.
Can I book myself straight into a session?
No. We have a free telephone conversation first. If we both feel it may be appropriate to continue, I send you an intake form and review it before offering an appointment.
How long does a session last?
A first RTT or hypnotherapy session usually lasts around two to two and a half hours. I do not rush these appointments. Further sessions on the same issue usually last 90–120 minutes.
Are sessions face-to-face or online?
Most of my RTT sessions take place face-to-face in Stockport, which is generally how I prefer to work. Online appointments are also available when appropriate.
How much does it cost?
Your free introductory call has no charge. A first therapy session is £150 and a further session on the same issue is £140. A £50 appointment deposit forms part of the session price.
Can you guarantee that it will work?
No responsible therapist can promise a particular result. Everybody responds differently. I will be honest about whether I believe my approach may be suitable for you.
