Talk it throughHypnotherapy and RTT in Stockport
You should know what you are paying for before deciding whether to book. We speak first, I explain the process clearly and there is no pressure to commit to several sessions in advance.

“Clear from the start—before you make any decision.”
Current session fees
These fees apply to both face-to-face and appropriate online therapy appointments. The initial telephone conversation is always free.
Initial telephone conversation
Free20–30 minutesFirst RTT or hypnotherapy session
£150Usually 2–2½ hoursFurther session on the same issue
£140Usually 90–120 minutesMore than the time in the room
The fee covers the work before, during and after your appointment—not only the time spent in hypnosis.
We have already spoken and I have read your completed intake form, including the questions relevant to what you want help with.
A first session usually lasts between two and two and a half hours. We finish when the work reaches a natural stopping point.
I create a personalised recording using language and ideas meaningful to you—not an off-the-shelf recording intended for everybody.
I normally contact you after three days, at the end of the first week and again around week three to ask how you are getting on.
Where useful, I may send information such as Rules of the Mind or confidence and self-esteem worksheets connected to our conversation.
You listen to your recording for at least 21 days. A further session is not automatically arranged before you have had that time.
You will not be asked to buy three sessions before we have completed one.How many sessions?
Some people feel that one session gives them what they need. Others decide that a second session would be useful. If we are working on the same issue, I normally leave around three weeks between the first and second sessions so you have at least 21 days to listen to your recording and notice what is changing.
A third session is your decision. I will never tell you that you must buy a package before I know what you need, and I will not keep arranging appointments simply because that is what other therapists may do.
We decide one step at a time, based on what is useful to you.Payment and appointments
The £50 deposit forms part of the session price; it is not an additional charge. The remaining balance is paid before the session begins.
Please give at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to rearrange, so that I have a reasonable opportunity to offer the time to somebody else.
I will normally allow an appointment to be rearranged once. If it is missed or rearranged again, I may ask you to find another therapist.
The appointment and payment arrangements are confirmed with you before any money is requested.

Common questions
The first RTT or hypnotherapy session usually lasts two to two and a half hours because we talk, explore the experiences and beliefs connected to the issue, complete the therapy work and create the basis of your personalised recording. I do not rush the appointment to fit an hourly slot.
No. I do not currently sell a compulsory package. We complete the first session, give it time to settle and then decide whether another appointment may be useful.
Yes. Your recording and my follow-up check-ins are included in the session fee. You are asked to listen to the recording for at least 21 days.
No. Everybody responds differently, and no responsible therapist can guarantee a particular result or number of sessions. I will be honest about whether I believe further work may be useful.
No. We have the free telephone conversation first. If we both feel it may be appropriate to continue, I send you an intake form and review it before offering an appointment.
You do not need to choose the therapy before contacting me. You can read more on my Hypnotherapy and RTT page, or simply ask during our introductory call.
